Le petit-fils du maire républicain d’un petit village du Bas-Aragon durant la Guerre civile espagnole retrouve à Toulouse Joaquin Monreal, anarcho-syndicaliste, qui militait à la CNT dans le village. El Negret, comme ils l’appellent, participait en 1936 dans ce village, au sein d’un Comité antifasciste et révolutionnaire, à la mise en oeuvre d’une collectivité, avec salaire familial, suppression de la monnaie et abolition des titres de propriété. En Espagne, entre ombre et lumière, dans la paix et le silence, le village suit inexorablement le cours de son histoire. Mais le souvenir du Negret y est encore présent à l’instar des traces des événements tragiques qui s’y sont déroulés, il y a plus de soixante-dix ans.
The grandson of the republican mayor of a Spanish small village of Bas-Aragon during the Civil War finds, in Toulouse, Joaquin Monreal, anarcho-syndicalist, who militated with the C.N.T. in the village. El Negret, as they call him, took part in 1936, within an antifascist and revolutionary Committee, in the implementation of a Community in the village, with family wages, suppression of the currency and abolition of the title deeds. In Spain, between shade and light, in the peace and the silence, the village inexorably follows the course of its history. But the memory of El Negret is still present there, following the example of traces of the tragic events which proceeded there, more than seventy years ago.
